Campus Project for USTA Mid-Atlantic: Site Selection, Feasibility, and Owner’s Representation
TAG Project Management (TAG) is leveraging its experience with large scale project management and construction to assist the United States Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic Foundation (USTA MAF) with the development of a new $42M+ state-of-the-art tennis campus and section headquarters.
Phase I: Site Selection and Feasibility
USTA MAF is developing a new campus and headquarters with office space for their staff and a 36 court indoor and outdoor facility. For over 5 years TAG managed the site selection and feasibility process, exploring a range of potential properties in the DC, Maryland, Virginia area which fit the needs of USTA MAF Management and their Board of Directors. Through detailed research, financial projections, and space optimization analysis we developed a short list of possible sites for the new facility. This research allowed the Board to decide on a final property which is accessible, affordable, and fits their programming requirements
Phase II: Owner’s Representation
Working directly with the local government, Loudoun County, VA, to obtain the largest financial incentive package ever offered by the county
Managing and monitoring the the design, budget, and project schedule for construction of the facility
Managing contractors and ongoing quality control
Reporting to the USTA MAF leadership team
Coordinating the zoning, permitting and design processes
Identifying and managing strategic partnerships to maximize the use of the land
Leading the corporate partnership sales efforts on behalf of the section
